Reading Blog tablet XI
When I first entered this very long but interesting tablet, I was confused. I first thought Gilgamesh was very sad about Enkidu, full of hate, maybe even blaming himself. In this Tablet he seeks immortality. This shows me that he is greedy. He was sad that Enkidu died and now he doesn't want that to happen to him so its now all bout him becoming immortal. When he reaches Utnapishtim and the adventure is told, I started thinking how I could have ever considered the two others as heroes if their courage and path don´t have comparison to all Utnapishtim. I connected this to the Hunger Games book, when the bravery of Katniss joining Peeta and willing the kill them both instead of her winning, that shocked me. It showed me what a hero is like, putting themselves in danger while keeping others from harm`s way.
